So i recently made my first app Spenlys.com a ai powered personal finance app. But as you know ai is pretty expensive and getting initial users also kinda hard. So I made this approach - I lock some features behind a paywall (fake) when the users clicks the upgrade to premium, They get pro for free as a way of thanking for trying the app early and then I ask the user - "You got the premium for free would you have paid for it? " So I know if users are willing to pay for the features (validation) . I don't have enough data currently so I can't share it. I just want feedback if it's a good validation approach if you have already built the feature. What do you think?

I'm a solo developer working on Huzzler, and I'm struggling to decide what to focus on. Your feedback would really help here.

Option 1: focus on the founder feed. Add daily interesting articles about tech, success stories, case studies. This will drastically reduce my time available to work on Huzzler and there are already some sites out there with daily news content (eg indie-hackers). However, these success stories could provide a lot of value.

Option 2: Focus on improving the community. Hide the founder feed from the homepage or add fewer articles and focus on making this community better. I'd like to add

• verifiable MRR with stripe (MRR badge on profile)
• KYC required + strict no AI policy. You'll have to verify with passport / drivers license using an external service. Everyday, people are getting more and more tired of the AI bots on platforms like X. On Huzzler anyone posting or commenting using an AI bot will be banned (3 warnings). It will be a very strict no-AI platform. It may seem overkill but will may sure you get to see real valuable posts instead of generic AI generated ones.
• MRR chart on profile + cooler profile pages 😎
• Project Milestones: new kind of structured post where post about the goal you achieved, how you did it and what you learned (this will be useful for learning from each other).

I'm finishing up a feature that captures posts and comments based on keywords. I really think it's perfect if you're looking to grow organically on Reddit, by the way.

1. You can use strict or non-strict keywords. (Strict means the keyword is matched as a whole word. Non-strict matches even inside other words, for example, "ai" would match "pain" This is useful for catching different verb forms like track, tracking, tracked, etc.)
2. Set keywords per subreddit, which makes sense because you might want to search differently in different communities.
3. There are several filters available too, like: starred, trashed, ascending, descending, etc.
4. Comment directly on posts or comments.
5. Add users directly. (Why would you want that? Because the main goal here is lead generation, right? You’ll want to learn more about those users. This feature shows not just their most active and engaging subreddits, but also their pain points, wishes, seeking alternatives, bag of words, and more. You can even group them by tags).

Soon, I’ll also be adding charts that show things like common subreddits and pain points for each group you define.

I genuinely believe (not trying to sell you anything btw) that it’s super useful if you want personalized feeds for posts and comments, whether it’s to grow your product or just stay updated on topics you care about.

It’s also a great tool for tracking both your own product and your competitors.

Here’s what it includes:

I've made iOS preset app that using XMP files (Lightroom presets) but doesn't require to having one installed but still if someone is LR enthusiast can export specific preset to XMP if needed. I am working on a "milestones roadmap" for tech founders to navigate their journey from 0 to 10M in ARR.

The roadmap is based on my ~15 years of experience as a founder, an operator, an angel investor, and as a consultant.

It will have ~7 or 8 major milestones and then smaller achievements in between that need to be covered (almost chronologically) to increase your chances to get to 10M in ARR.

A few examples of major milestones are:

* Nailing your ICP definition -> Based on market feedback

* Aligning your product (MVP) with your market (ICP) to head towards PMF

* Mastering the founder-led growth stage by honing your sales skills

Each of those milestones have different specific tasks that you need to accomplish in order to progress to the next.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share a new project I'm working on which will accelerate the adoption of Huzzler. I'd love to hear your feedback.

It's a tool that scrapes a set of subreddits and saves all the posts and comments to a database. Then as a user, you'll be able to use AI search which understands meaning and intent to lookup any reddit leads of the past week / month and finds hundreds of results in seconds.

An example: You are making an app that helps people stop smoking.

Using my tool: you can search the entire database with a query like: "Give me all posts/comments where someone is complaining about not being able to quit smoking".

It'll use AI to efficiently search a database of thousands of posts / comments and comments with the same meaning as your query.

Where existing tools lack

All existing tools I've found use keywords to find matches. For example, if I use the keyword "smoking" , those tools will only analyze every post that has the exact keyword "smoking". But it will miss potential posts where someone doesn't explicitly mentions a tracked keyword.

Let take for example a comment: "I can't quit the darts, I've tried for years" which was placed under a meme in r/memes. Classic tools like replyguy will not notify you for that lead. My tool will find those, as the comment is in the database and it can understand the meaning behind words. It understands that "darts" are slang for cigarettes. And when using the search engine it'll find any post or comment that matches with that meaning.

You can also create multiple queries like: "give me everyone who mentions to have smoked for years", "give me all posts about smoking",.. you can literally search up anything, it's not limited to keyword tracking.

You can also save queries to be notified daily if new leads have been found.
