I'm a solo Founder actually i am not a developer but i was trying to be one, i am guy who's been addicted to Notion for years but frustrated by its limitations.
So I'm doing something crazy: building the alternative I've always wanted completely alone.
What I'm Building
A next-gen Smarter productivity workspacewith:
1-AI that actually helps (not just chatbots - real task generation, project planning)
2- Smart Modes (separate "modes" for Work, Fitness, Creative flow)
3- Real-time collaboration (Collaborative Code Editor to code with ur team and Collaborative Rich Text Editor)
4- Smarter Kanban (with AI auto-tagging and nested boards)
Every Friday I'll share:
- Some ShowCases of the latest Features added
- Next Friday i will publish the waitlist
- Sharing what I finished
Be My Virtual Team
What's the one thing Notion does that drives you crazy?
Your comments decide the next features
Are you going to join the waitlist next Friday?
Congrats of joining other brave souls in their quest to create a tech company.
I'd love to understand further what you are trying to achieve, and if you are open, lend you a hand.
I see in your post that you "pitch" explains what you are building as product, and its features.
Would you be able to flip it on its head? and
I'd propose you share your pitch based on the following Framework: SPEED
1. Segment (of the market, including stakeholders): Which companies/individuals you are building your solution for. Keep this info factual, for example number of employees, roles/titles, etc...
2. Pain: what's the pain they are experiencing (with Notion?) and the consequences of not solving it (what happens if they do nothing?)
3. Efforts (current): how are they solving the problem currently. How many people are involved in solving the problem?
4. Efforts (new): what would they need to do to create a new habit to solve the problem with your solution?
5. How do they make the decision to change from Notion to your solution
What do you think of this?

With a 20$ plan of v0.dev I have done approx 300 messages and it's still with me. And yeah, follows my instructions 80% of the time.
