My first job wasas a backend developer, then I became a full-stack developer. I'm not very good at front-end, UI design, or visuals. Although I have some Photoshop skills, I use them so infrequently that I have to re-learn them every time I open the app.
Before Stable Diffusion was born, I often wondered if there was a more convenient way to edit images. But even after Stable Diffusion arrived, image generation and editing weren't ready for actual use. They lacked usability; for the past 2 years, the technology just didn't work well enough.
This wasn't my first time trying this type of product. I first tried building an AI image editor back in 2023.
When DALL·E 3 hit the market, I imagined a world where people could just chat to generate images. If you needed to fix something, you’d just tell the AI what to do—using natural language. I tried to build it using function calls, text-to-image, and image-to-image. But honestly? It was too expensive and didn't really work. In 2023, image-to-image would often generate a completely different picture. If you just wanted to fix one small thing, it was useless.
Fast forward to 2025, and there's been significant progress. Now, we can actually do these things. With an AI image editor, we can finally get results easily and save a ton of time.
I built editaimg.com with a bigger vision in mind. I want it to have quick-access points for all kinds of scenarios—like watermark removal, white backgrounds, or an "AI Magic Camera" for Amazon product shots. I want to help people get exactly what they want without the struggle.
