Didn't do any sales for 2 months. Launched a discounted yearly plan, made $700 in 5 days

2 month ago, I launched my SaaS Blogbuster, an autopilot SEO blogging tool.

I see competitors did super well for it, reaching over 20k MRR. And my price was aligned.

But I got no sales, crickets. Of course I could do more sales.

I was about to give up on my project, and then thought "let's make a no brainer offer" by discounting for a 7 days only: 1 year at the price of 1 month

In this way, that could give me the validation I needed.

If no users bought then, definitely the product wasn't appealing at all.

Is users bought, then I knew there was a need, and just need to increase trust/distribution

We are 5 days in

And I made 7 sales totaling USD $700 in revenue.

While I was ready to give up last week, I'm now filled with hope and energy.

I will keep growing the product, gradually increase the price, and max out distribution channels.

That's a really cool product. I'll recommend it to other indie hackers. And you homepage is really nice, it's clear and immediately explains the problem you are solving: getting customers in the door with SEO.

These are the main features now:
- Not as saturated as reddit
- You post won't get lost in the noise
- You'll receive real and honest feedback
- People can discover your projects via your profile
- You can add projects and launch them in the Arena
- People can find your products through SEO
- With Huzzler Black, you can increase your domain authority and get your project to rank higher in Google (you'll receive a backlink for life)
- Better categorization: eg. you can just browse #jobs if looking for people to work on your project

In the future we are also adding a problem/solution directory with 1000+ real world user problems to help founders find ideas to solve. It works like this: users can post problems they have and founders can browse problems. Once they created a solution, they can notify the user who posted the problem.

Another thing we will add to Huzzler Black is a customer engine. A personalized tool with actionable methods to help you get your first 100 customers (tailored to you specific product & b2b or b2c)

My goal is to help founders as good as possible to go from the idea stage, to development to marketing and finally scaling a SAAS or sideproject.
