How do you validate your idea?

I know about some reddit forums, something like Huzzler, but how do you validate your idea? Where do you post it or maybe you just simply go and build mvp and check if it's becoming popular?

I am really curious to read about your approaches in comments :)

I pair SEO with content marketing to validate my ideas.

Say you know of terms with low KD, but decent to high SV.

Then make content about it.

Pair a product/service with it.

Then wait and see for the numbers.

I tried emailing businesses. This works if you are building for people who check their emails regularly. I just keep it short and tell them I'm doing research and ask for:

A) Definitely interested
B) Maybe interested
C) Not interested

Just keep it to the point and nice people will usually answer it 😉 ~20% response rate
