A SaaS boilerplate is a prebuilt codebase with authentication, billing, and a marketing site. The right kit depends on the product you are building, not the longest feature list.
The kits are in our SaaS boilerplate catalog. This page is the decision order we use: what you are building, which language you already write, and whether customers invite a team.
You do not have to buy a kit. If you already know your stack well, building those pieces yourself can still be faster.
What are you building?
Start here. A lot of people buy a SaaS kit for a job it does not do.
Pick a SaaS kit if people log in, pay you, and use a product. On Huzzler that is ShipFast, supastarter, Makerkit, Nexty, Larafast, and SaaS Pegasus.
Pick Dirstarter if the product is a directory, a listing site, or a tools roundup. It has submissions, Stripe for featured spots, and an admin for listings. It is not a team SaaS.
Pick Shipixen if you want a marketing site, a waitlist, or an MDX blog. The desktop app generates a Next.js 15 codebase. There is no login, no Stripe, and no database.
Which language do you already write?
Stay on the stack you already write. Switching languages because a kit looks nicer is a worse deal than the license.
If you write Next.js, start with ShipFast vs supastarter. Makerkit and Nexty are the other Next.js kits.
If you write Laravel, pick Larafast. If you write Django, pick SaaS Pegasus.
Do customers invite a team?
This is the choice that actually changes the code.
If your users are individuals, you do not need organization accounts. ShipFast and Nexty are built for that. ShipFast is cheaper and simpler. Nexty adds Creem, PayPal, a CMS, and an admin dashboard.
If customers invite teammates into a shared workspace, pick a kit that already has organizations. On Next.js that is supastarter or Makerkit. On Laravel, team accounts are on Larafast's $299 Multi-Tenancy plan, not the $199 Livewire plan. On Django, paid SaaS Pegasus includes teams.
If you add organization accounts later, you will rewrite a lot of the app. That is why we score supastarter 4.6 and still point solo founders at ShipFast when they do not need them.

Next.js SaaS kits
Pick ShipFast if you are a solo founder launching one Next.js product for individual users. You clone the repository, fill in your environment variables, and start the app. It is $199. There are no organization accounts, no admin panel, and no translations. New releases are rare. Buy it for what it does today.
Pick supastarter if those users need a shared workspace. Solo is $299 and includes organizations, an admin panel, translations, and five payment providers. You have to be comfortable with Turborepo.
Pick Makerkit if you want that same B2B setup with a super-admin, and you are fine buying one license per stack. Pro is $349. Lite is a free MIT repo, so you can open the repo and see how the Turborepo is put together before you buy.
Pick Nexty if you want Better Auth, more than one payment provider, and a CMS, and you do not need team workspaces. The homepage Pro price is $188. Roles are user and admin only.

Laravel and Django
Pick Larafast if you write Laravel and want Filament. The $199 plan includes Livewire and Vue. Team accounts are a separate $299 plan.
Pick SaaS Pegasus if you write Django. You pick the features, and Pegasus generates a unique codebase. Professional is $449 for one project and one year in Slack. Unlimited is $649. Teams share one Postgres database. You cannot put each customer on their own schema.
Directories and marketing sites
Pick Dirstarter if the product is a directory. Basic is $159. It is built for listings, not for B2B team workspaces.
Pick Shipixen if you mainly need a designed Next.js marketing site and a blog. The 1-year license is $249. Add login and billing yourself.

Do I need a boilerplate to launch a SaaS?
No. A boilerplate saves time if you want authentication, billing, and marketing pages ready at launch. If you already know your stack well, building those pieces yourself can still be faster.
