To make it more useful, every month I update the Domain Rating (DR) of these directories. DR is an Ahrefs metric (0–100) that shows how strong a site’s backlink profile is. In short: the higher the DR, the more authority and SEO value you can get when launching your product there.

I wanted to share a small win 🎉 and the story behind it — how my site grew to about 5.8k monthly views in less than 2 months.

50 days ago, I launched launchdirectories.com — a simple, searchable database of places where you can submit and promote your new product or startup.

Why did I build it? Because every time I launched something, I’d spend hours googling “SaaS directories” or hunting through outdated blog posts, trying to figure out where to submit my product. It was frustrating and inefficient.

So I put together a spreadsheet with 52 launch directories and shared it on Reddit. It got over 400 upvotes, which was amazing, but people wanted more data like domain ratings, traffic stats, SEO info, and whether the links are dofollow or not.

I realized this was a real need, so overnight I built LaunchDirectories.com (initially spent just 5 hours on it) — now it features over 80 curated launch directories, sortable by Domain Rating and other useful metrics.

No signups, no paywalls, no bullshi* — just a website to save you time and help you get more visibility for your projects.

According to SimpleAnalytics, the site is already getting 5.8k+ monthly views, and I’ve heard from people saying it’s actually saved them hours and helped them gain traction.

I know it’s not some massive success story, but honestly, this number of monthly views still blows me away.

I’m the kind of person who’s always finding cool stuff online — articles, news, interesting blog posts and I love sharing them in FB groups, Reddit threads, or group chats.

But here’s what started bugging me: every time I drop a link, I’m basically sending people straight to someone else’s site. It’s great for sharing value, but I started thinking… is there a way I could also benefit a bit from all these clicks, without having to write my own blog or make my own content?

So here’s what I tried:

I built this little tool that takes any link I want to share and wraps it in a new link. When people click it, they still see the original page (the article, news piece, or blog post), but there’s a small popup or a banner with my own CTA — like “Check out my website” or “Subscribe to my newsletter.”

Basically, it lets me keep sharing cool content as usual, but also gently invite people to visit my own page, drop their email, or do whatever I want them to do.

And it’s not just about email popups. For example, my friend sells solar panels, and he recently shared a news article about rising electricity prices — but he used my tool to add a CTA leading people to his solar business website. So it’s super flexible.

Sometimes you don’t have the time (or the desire) to create your own articles or blog posts, but you still want to share valuable stuff and get some visibility in return. This kind of solves that.

I dropped that into some Facebook groups, and within an hour, people were not only reading the page but also checking out my own link. That felt like a small win because I didn’t have to create any original content, yet I still got extra eyeballs on my stuff.

It’s definitely not perfect yet. It’s totally free right now because it’s still in beta. Some sites block it, and I’m working on ways around that (I’ve got some ideas but need time to implement them). But overall, it’s been surprisingly fun to play with.

Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone else here has ever felt like they’re sending free traffic to other people’s sites all the time — maybe this is a way to get something back from it. Curious if anyone else has tried similar hacks or tools?

Two days ago I was browsing the internet and came across a really simple, well-made site about moving to Germany (https://www.how-to-germany.com/). I loved how clean and straightforward it was and it got me thinking: there's no niche site like that about Poland (I did research). So I built howtopoland.com 😄

It’s a site with tools (like calculators) and basic info for expats coming to Poland. The idea is to monetize through affiliate links to bank accounts / credit cards (the payouts are actually quite decent), and maybe later partner with companies that help foreigners with legalization or general services.

Poland is developing fast and becoming a more attractive place to live. It's friendly, much more affordable than places like Germany or Sweden, and every year I see more and more foreigners on the streets. Plus, I’m Polish myself, so I’ve got the local knowledge to make this genuinely helpful.

I don't know if it's luck, but since last week. I've had way more motivation and money is actually starting to flow in! About 3-4 months ago I built dubaidiscoverer.com in Lovable - took me forever to figure out that Lovable doesn't have SSR and will never get indexed by Google properly. I wrote a Reddit post about it that blew up and even Lovable's CEO replied to it.

Spent several days migrating from Vite to Next.js to boost my Google rankings - but honestly, all that effort was for nothing. Google results are still dead, and I was basically ready to abandon the whole thing since I have other projects going on.

Then out of nowhere today I get a notification that someone bought Dubai attraction tickets through my affiliate link and I made $10.50. No clue how it happened but someone actually bought something even though I'd already written the project off as a loss.

It's still pennies and doesn't even cover the domain cost - but maybe it'll motivate some of you. Sometimes things work out even when you think they're completely dead.

Honestly, I'd probably sell this project for pocket change at this point because I have zero ideas left for it. It's just directories about Dubai and Abu Dhabi attractions - nothing fancy.

I know it would sound better if I said my dead project made $1000 passively, but I hope this was at least an interesting read for you guys.
