BatesKit is a browser-based tool that batch-stamps Bates numbers, confidentiality legends, and exhibit labels across litigation PDFs — and runs production QC before you send anything out.

Designed for solo attorneys, small-firm administrators, and legal support teams who can't justify a full Acrobat Pro license or won't risk uploading confidential files to an online service.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Files never leave your device — you can verify this by disconnecting from the internet while working.

What it does:

- Batch Bates numbering with prefixes, suffixes, custom start numbers, and step increments across multiple files

- Stamps real, searchable text in standard PDF fonts, positioned to the CropBox with page-rotation handling

- Opaque backing boxes, confidentiality legends, and per-document exhibit labels

- Read-only production checks: metadata leaks, recoverable text under redaction bars/white-out, numbering gaps, mixed page geometry, and scans without a text layer
