You can upload upto 10 thumbnails per YouTube video. Choose a frequency - hourly/daily/weekly to rotate them. Metrics are provided a day after the A/B test ends to know performance of each thumbnail so that you choose the best one to increase CTR of the video and grow your channel.
FYI - these are the metrics tracked - views, Avg. View Duration, Likes, Comments, Impressions, Click Through Rate, Shares, Subscribers Gained, Average View Percentage
